Questions

The things people ask before they move a home.

How much does it cost to move a mobile home in NC or SC?
Single-wide intra-state runs $3,000–$8,000, double-wide $7,000–$15,000, and a cross-state NC↔SC move $5,000–$25,000 depending on unit and distance. The quote is line-itemed — permits, escorts, and setup included. See the full cost guide.
Do you pull the permits, or do I?
We pull the whole stack: the NC § 105-316.1 county tax permit, the NCDOT Publication MH-2 oversize permit, and (crossing into SC) the SC § 31-17-360 licensing-agent permit plus the county treasurer's tax-paid certificate.
Can you move a pre-1976 mobile home?
No — federal law (HUD 24 CFR 3280) forbids relocating a pre-June-1976 unit. We can demolish and dispose of it, often paired with a new-home delivery on the same parcel.
How far out do you book?
Standard moves typically schedule 2–6 weeks out. For emergencies — eviction, condemnation, storm damage — request a quote and we'll fast-track same-day scheduling.
